For premade purposes are r.shamans any good?

i mean..is there a reason to take them over priests?

Tankier, able to drop hard extremely hard damage and then heal two seconds later, windfury and mana efficient offensive dispels, not a completely garbage flag carrier in a pinch

Priest got dispel shield fearbomb
Sham got purge interrupt and earthbind
The list could go on...both classes are needed in pvp and bring different utility to your group
Best is to have one each:-)

If i had a 9 peep grp without either for wsg id bring the priest for dispell , in ab id take the shaman
Unbaised on skill level.
Choose the class you are comfortable with

Windfury is a really big deal.

Would take shaman in the group anytime you're running a decent warrior or two.

Without a warrior, would only run a shaman if they were very skilled and could correctly use their tremor, grounding, 6 second interrupt, cleansing totems, and purge.

I'd rather have the flexibility of chain lightning rape over the utility of priests. Unless it was eyece.

even over mana burn?

its sjut that my shamy is 50...and i dont have priest (always played one doe)

And im starting to think that the priest would not only survive the mellee trian ebtetr but bring more to teh table

pls someone convince me to push these last 10 levels before re rolling priest!

Mana burn doesn't kill flag carriers, chain lightning into NS lightning bolt>earth/frostshock does.

Purge and purge and purge. It is the counter and killer of paladins and druid flag carriers, ontop of everything else already mentioned.
