Hatred: The Warcraft Edition

Hatred: The Warcraft Edition

by Grimsby » Sat Jun 06, 2015 11:23 pm

Ogtucker has been slaying alliance like no other, and as far as I've read, he's been warned for doing so.
Is it not allowed to continously camp the other faction even though we're playing on a PvP server?

Nostalrius' policies are very backwards and non-blizzlike in some cases: allowing people to go on rooftops in AB, banning people who kill questgivers, and banning people who stand in safe spots; corpse camping is completely allowed though.

I'd like to think that the reason behind some of the non-blizzlike rules here is because of the poor scripting for the more advanced guard mechanics (NPCs spawning guards, guards aggroing when a player is hurt near them), but I'm pretty sure they're just carebear SJWs.

Eventually corpse-camping, killing greys, something along those lines at some point will be banned by Nostalrius without a doubt, and it's really a matter of "when," but "when" isn't now.

Please stop spreading lies and misinformation.

allowing people to go on rooftops in AB

This is being fixed.

banning people who kill questgivers

No-one has been banned for this. A player will be warned if they repeatedly, and for hours, kill quest NPCs in low-level area for no purpose.

banning people who stand in safe spots

Again, to my knowledge no-one has actually been banned for this, as we warn players who do it - and this was only a stop-gap measure until the goblin guards gained push back powers.

so... no one has been banned for this but will get banned if they ignore the warning? so what is the difference? either you get not banned (blizzlike) or banned (nostalrius)

you are actually spreading misinformation here since you say people wont get banned but actually they will get banned eventually

agreed, what happens if you continue to camp NPCs? You get banned.
Not blizzlike at all, but what can you expect from a carebear server with lead GMs who want to turn this into a hugbox environment

Just when I thought I had found a truly good thing I come and find that the mods actively enforce carebear policies. This is going to make me have to think about trying out the server vs another that's truly Blizzlike.

Why are you twisting my words around?

ajooba wrote:so... no one has been banned for this but will get banned if they ignore the warning? so what is the difference?

The difference is that Wagnard claimed that people had already been banned, which isn't true to my knowledge at this point.

ajooba wrote:you are actually spreading misinformation here since you say people wont get banned

Again, that is not what I wrote.

I don't understand why you are writing such hyperbole. I do not know what a "hugbox" is but if we wanted a "carebear" server, the label would have been PvE, not PvP.

This change only affects a tiny number of players, literally less than ten the last time I counted. You can still kill the opposing faction players as much as you want and you can still raid their cities and towns as much as you want.

I acually know for a fact that non-English speakers also do this sometimes. I wonder what you will do to people who don't even understand English and are just playing the game lol.
