AV is disgusting and bugs at launch made it even worse

I don't think I've ever been to forums to complain about anything, ever.
As someone who hasnt played vanilla i was pretty curious and midly enthusiastic to see what all these vanilla roleplayers were prophesying about, something AV being EPIC and THE BEST and all that jazz.

Vanilla AV is the worst, the most unbalanced content (besides vanilla as a whole being unbalanced as shit) that ever existed.

The map itself and the npc are HUGELY favouring the alliance. That bridge that leads to Dun Baldar can be defended by 1 hunter that spams traps and flares on it. A mage spamming blizzard and a hunter with flare and traps can stop a 20 man push, easily. The bowmens kill basically anyone who steps in the last quater of the bridge. The aid station is packed with NPCs that keep spawning for 5 minutes until you capture the flag, making the actual holding of the graveyard a pain in the ass.

The horde base have a bunch of imbred NPCs that Los themselves, dont even shoot, there is no chokepoint in there (besides iceblood chokepoint but that is kinda far away) and generally the npcs are so spread out that the alliance just have a casual sunday stroll in Frostwolf keep, without anyone or anything bothering them basically.

The bugs at launch made things even worse, and i'm not going to get on about it, as it's already been covered by tons of other people.

I am looking forward to hitting exalted, get the rewards and NEVER FUCKING EVER step foot in the most disgusting piece of unbalanced shit ever made, which is vanilla AV.

There is a chokepoint in Frostwolf, right outside the door, in the small path leading to the gate before the two towers. Quite easy to frost trap + flare + mage blizzard, but doesn't do horde any good cus our towers bowmen don't shoot either due to kiss poor scripting, or LOSing themselves.

Yup. Never enjoyed AV, even less now that it's bugged as shit. Got exalted tonight and afk'ed straight out and I'm never going back in if I can help it.

Yeah, in this case you are meant to turtle the shit out the way to the enemy base, popping the NPC supports up, in the end the advantage seems too small. These advantages you call seem to not bother me at all, we just deal with what we have to face, its not that much of a big deal.

Horde can spawn elite riders much more faster than alliance cause of the wolves being around the stable master, while as alliance you have to come back by the bridge every time. Icelord is stronger than ivus once 10 opponent players die close to him (which happens really fast).
And (probably) drek'thar has better abilities than vanndar.

But the first 2 things don't matter to you because you probably don't know how useful the AV events are, they are part of the worshipping you heard by those people.

you say npc favor the alliance? i am quite sure that only is about holding the bridge. because due to eh chokepoints and shitloads of npc near galv alot of allies have trouble getting to the south if the horde even defends it a little.


And i got to ask how is it in our favour our ramriders and ivus always bug at TP? ramriders always keep mounting and dismounting there. and ivus also is walking forth and back there. such npc help. while wolfriders and the icelord always make it over the bridge. and lets not forget the positions to summon wolfriders and the ice lord are way better than the alliance. ivus is on the middle of the field of strife. and as another guy said for the rams allies got to cross the bridge every time


i say you complain about nothing
