Wouldnt it be fun if nostalrius launched a new realm for 6 hours, where everyone just started at lvl 1, and a few moments later, they teleported all players to dun morogh, in the starting zone. Removed all high-lvl guards, made the 1-2 graveyards friendly to horde aswell (so they have equal corpse runs) and then just let chaos take place.

If announced on forums, about 1.5k players would attend, considering 1k ppl came to kryll event.
Hell, it takes 15 minutes to make that server, about another 15 to do modifications/remove guards, and some GM attendance to teleport the players (or enable some macro where when people whisper you a specific word, the teleportation command is casted on them)

Chaos would take place, entertaining chaos, hundreds of lvl 1-3 of both sides fighting on the icy valleys of dun morogh.


I mean why not, it could be hilarious once in awhile, takes little effort (ive run vanilla servers) and is really fun

If you dont like it, you wont get bothered at all. I doubt it will bother your performance in the main server, since it wont exceed more than two thousand players, just for 6 hours.

On the other hand i know too many people who would enjoy this

As i mentioned, it takes like 30 minutes to launch this, since its a different realm it wont affect performance as much. As well with a couple of GMs to watch and do teleportations (who arent developers)
Not much is lost and it could be quite entertaining.

Oh and dun morogh will be contested ofcourse.

If we're talking weird custom shit a server with a level cap of 40ish with a contested version of darkshore as the only available zone would be awesome. Still remember the 60+ player goon squad raids on darkshore, best world PvP evar.

Im sure nostalrius will not bother to make a custom realm that is permanent.

However, one that goes up every week/month for 5 or 6 hours could be done, each time with a different event.
