Isn't time to apply the Rules?

Isn't time to apply the Rules?

I am copying from the Nostalrius Term of use:
F - Account closure / permanent ban : Most serious sanction. Permanent ban are rare but definitive.

Examples :

Possession of an item(s) obtained with illegal methods
Advertising for other private servers,
Creation of another account to bypass a sanction applied on the first one (except for permanent ban),
Publishing a software, methods or articles on cheating which can be applied on the server,
Revealing the identity of a Nostalrius Begins staff member,
Selling/Buying an account, golds, services or items for real money,
Account hacking,
Client's modification (libraries, executables, MPQ, etc.),
Any attempt to bribe a staff member to gain an in-game advantage,
Organized killing for farming rank and/or honor,
Multi-account which strikes a blow to players,
Abuse of in-game bugs,
Using bots.
Hacking.

So, "Organized killing for farming rank and/or honor" consider as a most serious sanction and it will be punished with Account closure / permanent ban.

So, all the players that exploits the roofs of Tanaris or the mast Boody Bay or waiting at flight points to kill enemy players aren't orginize killings for farming honor and rank? Maybe its time to start applying those rules?

From what I seen this thing happens constantly by the same players. I am an ally and all the time I see the same horde players doing this organized farming (I can name them but this post isn't about names right now). I am sure players from ally side doing the same. And guess what: those massive exploit honor farming gives them easy honor and faster ranks.

OK, this is a pvp server but also has rules. Isn't the time to start applying them?

Organized killing for farming honor and rank = having 2 accounts and killing yourself, having a friend let you kill them over and over and stuff like that, not what you suggested...

So you are telling that farming honor and ranks using game exploits is fine. Some gain high ranks only by using those exploits...

Safe spotting isn't against the rules here. Get over yourself.

Actually, you could read this rule as a rule against premades in bg's. :D Ultimate organized killing for farming rank and / or honor!

I see a server with hordes gaining honor and ranks at flight points and by using all the game exploits. Let this thing continue and soon the population will start shrinking. Most lv 60 horde killing time waiting bg ques by farming honor this way. Soon many allies will reroll horde side or stop playing here. This will make horde bg ques longer and this stupid honor farming worst. And so on...

At my opinion Nostalrius must set and follow some rules like other private servers did. Otherwise there will be impact to the game population.

I will not say anything else. Others set the rules or the lack of rules here. The rest of us decide only if its worth to play or not.

If the players on the roof were able to get on the roof legit ( which means you could get a buddy or two, jump on the roof yourself, if you know how, and kill the dude ), then no actions will be taken against him. It's not an exploit. The guy's just got tricks up his sleeves.

Hello thiella,

as others have mentioned already, safe-spotting is currently allowed on Nostalrius. This means that if a player can legitimately reach the roof of a building - like the inn in Gadgetzan - and attack from there, he or she is allowed to do so. If, however, they exploit LOS issues or AOE spells to attack players inside the buildings, attacking through the roof or walls, then that is a bannable offense. Please take a screenshot and make a GM ticket and give the GM a link to it.

Similarly, neither corpse camping or flight point camping is against the rules. Both Horde and Alliance engage in this manner of PvP combat. I would recommend you to ask for assistance from other players and/or to organize a group for mutual self-defence. As both sides currently have hundreds of level 60 characters, it should be possible to get help for most zones through your friend list, your guild or just asking in World Defence.

I understand that getting killed sucks, especially if it happens immediately once you land. However, the current server rules do not prohibit such behaviour. As Zyfire mentioned, that paragraph in the TOU applies to specific, exploitative situations. Good luck in getting revenge and happy gaming!
