another thing to consider, is that its easier for a priest and druid to heal while moving. paladins have to stand still, for the most part.
in small scale, i would prefer a priest. priest can be very offensive and is better suited to provide that extra dps assist. one the reasons i like priest is how you can toss out some renews and shields, then proceed to dps/offensive dispel/burn. its fun to play them as aggressive hearlers.
paladins kinda crutch on hoj, and you will need it for basically everything.
in terms of raw healing output, i would give the edge to paladins. easy to pump out heals spamming flash heal.
in large scale, it doesnt matter that much like in av. but its eassier for a priest to run forward with the melee with instant heals. sometimes on a pally when the warrrior is going full penis and running into the fray, they can outrange you in the 1.5 sec cast.
priest if you want a dynamic playstyle
paladin if you want to shrug off melee/rogues
druid for shit eating grins per hour
in the end, healers in wow are force multipliers, not a force themselves. a strong healer has a massive pvp pressence. you just wont have it with shadow/ret.
