Judging by the fact that you were upset enough to make a forum rant about it coupled with the fact that you already are contemplating quitting before level cap just tells me you won't be here for long regardless of the ganking, so why are you wasting your time?
I've levelled multiple chars to 60 and it really isn't that bad unless you run straight into the opposite faction repeatedly and expect them to shower you with hugs and kisses instead of killing you, or if you stick around in an area where a gank squad obviously is active. That's all on you.

People play the game however they want to play it, and your tears won't stop that.

For me, I don't really get any enjoyment out of killing grays (but I will if I see them fighting someone from my faction and they clearly started it.) I do like teasing them though. Creative use of polymorph is key.

I am extremely upset, and crying. I guess you're right in the sense that it's not that bad if you avoid some places (though people will instakill you even in booty bay inn) and not much you can do about it except talk about it, maybe.
