Simply saying that spell hit will not help you hit targets with resistance in PvP. Only helps vs the base 4%.
Also a 150 resistance target should resist binary spells (fear, curses, possibly the fear part of death coil has its own roll) at 50% rate (150/300)
Also a 150 resistance target should partially resist non binary spells at a 50% rate. (although there is more RNG here)
IE 1k shadowbolt x5 hits (exclude the resists) should end up doing around 2500 damage.
500, 250, 750, 500, 500 for example.
For DoT it was changed to partially resistible ticks in TBC I believe.
More resist = higher chance for higher reduction IN ADDITION to higher full resist chance. (where spell hit has no effect since it is pvp)
Resistance does work for all the stats you give up. Who would of thought.
No I haven't ever tested how it works on Nostalrius. If someone has a set of gear to produce 150 resist I would like to.
