I just started playing on this server recently, and I wanted to refrain from posting on the board about this but I'm breaking my silence.
The first day or two I played, this was not an issue. One or two players I would run into out of 50-100 were Chinese, and normally not a problem, even nice.
But, the past two days or so, I've noticed this is an issue. I'll join groups, where the entire chat is nothing but blank posts because they are using Chinese language packs(which, I obviously do not have.)
Now, I'm not racist, but this is clearly an international server that is for English only, strictly enforced. Where is the enforcement on this? Something needs to be done by the devs immediately to counteract this, because it's starting to get out of control.
I'll regularly get PMs that make no sense. Just type in /who xiao when you login, and prepare to be floored.
They should add a way for any non-English language pack to be an automatic ban or lock from joining in-game. This is becoming unfun for me, and for lots of others.
Signs you are with a chinese player:
1. They have Xiao in the name.
2. Blank posts.
3. Refer to quests as "Tasks"
4. [ ]
5. If it's a hunter, they will pull aggro on everything due to having pet not on passive. This ALWAYS happens.
6. Immediately leaves groups after their automated add-on states they have finished whatever quest they are on, and doesn't stay to help those who aren't.
7. Rude and do not properly roll on chests/mines things of that sort. Will try to roll need on any BoE that drops to ninja it. This happened to me, but I rolled need to counteract, won the item, and we booted him from the group and rerolled for it in chat.
8. Roam around in groups tagging all mobs, and usually won't invite you unless you happened to take the tag for an important mob. Will refuse your invites.
9. Someone with a bunch of moonspeak for a name kept messaging me today "how much for run brush copy". What the hell does that even mean?
10. If you are in an instance and you wipe once, they will leave immediately.
11. Backpedaling.
