IMO Both factions have 'red zones' which are hard as hell to accomplish unless your team co operates completely.
For alliance, the red zone is Iceblood tower to tower point.
For horde, The red zone is obviously the bridge.
The very first thing alliance has to do is face their red zone. Completely unavoidable. Whether the alliance team is capable or not is decided within the first 5 minutes. Even if the ruling is Capable, it's still another hour from here to victory.
Horde skips their red zone completely. So long as a person(s) is smart enough ( or dumb enough ) to help their team clear the mines, victory is assured before the half hour mark with the use of the backdoor. Most of the time they don't even bother with the Dun Baldar bunkers.
Also, some popular arguments I continuously see coming from a horde stand point make no sense at all. "alliance just has to put 3 or 4 ranged classes at the back door"... Your point? The horde can and does do the same at the IBT/TP stretch.
"Alliance can jump the horde base fence!!!!" ...You mean the jump that puts us closer to Jotek ( Elite horde NPC inside the horde base ) and doesn't even let us bypass the two non-elite guards? In fact, this puts us further away from our path to Drek.
"The frostwolf towers don't have guards on the flag! Rogues ninja cap them all the time!"...Yet ice blood and tower point towers have super strong elites sitting right on the flag. Furthermore, all 4 alliance bunkers can be solo capped by a stealther without any elites intervening.
"The alliance NPCs are right beside the aid station!" ...Alright, I feel for you guys because of Murgot Deepforge. However all the others are down in mere seconds of scattered AOE hitting them. The explosive expert that you guys complain about so much has 9k health... he has time to drop one bomb doing ~1,500 dmg to players it hits before he dies. I've literally seen groups of pets he aggro'd solo him before the horde team even targets him. Not to mention he doesn't respawn.
