I asked for a blue post because for the most part, Nostalrius is a project of a handful of people who wanted to make a server this way. They wanted it to be blizz-like (for the most part), so generally speaking, that's the main reason it will remain as such. Blue posts give reasons to consider changes.
With the sourcing of blue posts, we have reason to bring it up to them that the game was supposed to be working different/better during vanilla than it actually was. Combining blue posts + community input, we have not only a solid reason to heavily consider changing the design of elements of our server, but knowledge that it will be positively received.
By no means are we ever shutting out community input or suggestions (except for name/race/class changes because no). That's why we have the suggestions forum. But what we want to see is not only community support for a change, we want to know that something was possibly considered before hand or that it may not have been working as intended on retail. Just because a community asks for something to be easier doesn't mean we're going to comply with such a request.
Keep in mind, that every suggestion means that it's something we have to discuss not only whether or not it will be implemented, but also how it will be implemented, who will do whatever coding is necessary, who and how long it will take to test AND where it should fit on the priority list of Things To Be Done.
On a side note:
I have a small request for everyone: Try to stay civil guys

But don't. I'm not saying you can't, but it looks a lot better when you guys don't get off topic and call people names. I encourage you guys to use the report button on posts for people who are clearly being offensive.
I love you guys and I'm stoked you are all playing here, enjoying the server AND offering up suggestions that you truly believe will make this an even better place. Don't be discouraged if we happen to not respond immediately (or sometimes ever [we're really sorry, but we just won't respond to every post]). We GMs, Devs, and Admins due this because we really want to see this server succeed: we do not get paid or receive any bonuses on our normal characters!
