So once you join a BG you drop all your other queued battlegrounds.
Honestly, that wouldn't fix the problem nost was aiming for with premades. The problem was that they had a blizzlike queue pairing with multi queue. Then they decided they wanted to try and prevent premades from farming pugs. So what they did was set up a premade priority and left multi queue in. What resulted was utter disaster.
Basically, for about 10 weeks, both ally and horde premades queued up for both AB and WSG. So when ally got a queue pop, ally would take WSG. When horde got a queue pop, they would take AB. Since there were at least two premades who got paired up against each other, that effectively created two games where the side opposite the premades were empty. Therefore, the system would throw in the solo queuers that were waiting for a game against a premade; and since there were often multiple premades per side, the solo queuers were often outnumbered by a ratio of 2-3:5 at the very least.
That sort of compromise you're suggesting would not help with that sort of a system at all. And would only revert to the absolute worst pvp experience that existed on this server.
Indeed. Unless you forbid ones inside the game get the queue up from outside and as soon as you accept a call, you lose all other queues. In this scenario grpA (h) and grpB (a) queues for both ab/wsg. They both receive a call. If they choose the same bg, they meet and they cant dodge. If they choose different, they would face pug/empty/party filled opposing side. Here comes the idea that i suggested, to wait with pop until a double pool fills up. In that case, no matter they choose the same (facing each other) or the "dodge" scenario the instances are filled on both side fully. Farming pugs? Honestly. If a pug vs prem game starts with 15v15, its fine i guess. The pug can abuse/slow prems, and they can get a ton kills by holding 1/2 nodes. Yes, it can be annoying facing prems 24/7, but i experienced it on retail and it has nothing to complain about. Also you have to consider to think about what size of group queueing together count as a "prem".
