As I understand it, the number of players can not make it easier, just impossible. It's about on a curve.

Say for example, you needed to be the top .1% of players to earn rank 14. But there were only 100 people on the server. Even if you were #1, your only in the top 1% of the server.

The bigger the pop, the more rank 14s.

Pve server must be a lot more casual, with far less super hardcore premades making massive honor, making ranking a nightmare. Sure there is less slots for each rank, but the fight must be a lot more casual for honor farming.

If you don't think that the R14 pvp grind is harder on a PVP server that attracts far more pvp minded people than a care bear server you lack some faculties up top. A lot of the PvE server population chose that server specifically to avoid pvp, you really think ranking is going to be half as competitive?

Got a sauce for that?

I believe many of them actually chose the server because of the severe population crunch on the PvP server (Though I can't speak authoritatively, as I've never played on the server, just saw friends leave for it.)
Even if they went because they're carebears, wanting to avoid owPvP and avoiding PvP altogether are entirely different things.

I don't need a source for what's called common sense. Feel free to read the announcement of the new pve server, or the multiple 5+ page posts begging for a pve server because the wpvp is too much. Again, you are delusional if you think R14 is easier on the nost pve server, and you are idiotic for saying avoiding wPvP and avoiding pvp altogether are entirely different things. Are they identical? No, but obviously there's a lot of overlap.

Cool story bro.

For the majority of people wPvP is:
Ganking people engaged on NPCs at sub-75% health who have no/minimal chance for retaliation - or getting ganked in the aforementioned situation
One-shotting lowbies while you travel somewhere in a contested zone or simply doing so out of boredom while you wait on a queue - or getting one-shot in the aforementioned situation

I'd argue wanting to avoid those things has absolutely no bearing on whether you enjoy competitive, instanced PvP.
But clearly, you feel differently. So tell me, where exactly is the overlap?

PS. I say all this as someone who loves ganking/getting ganked for the adrenaline of the fight/hunt. But it has nothing to do with my love of competition and much more to do with me getting off on being a dick to random people on the internet.

Lol, you are talking about R14 honor grind which is a lvl 60 affair, and reference mostly the lower level ganking. For many wPvP is ganking around DM or BRM, and later on Silithus and the AQ gates. The overlap is OBVIOUSLY, many of the people that enjoy world pvp (killing people of the opposing faction) also enjoy BGs. If you remove that pool of people in a pve server, you are removing people that would be competing for rank.

Got a source on that majority of people wpvp is sub 75% health? Cool story bro, continue to argue that pvp ranking is comparable on a PVE SERVER to a PVP SERVER. You are a joke.
