BG queue system issue, asking for administrator response

Played a few 5-cap AB games with some guildies in a prem last night.

That shit is fucking boring. Only did it because I got one good pug vs pug WSG out of like 10 and the rest were 10v1 or 10v2.

Im just gonna grind to exalted AV for now but that shit gets repetitive as well, especially when you get stuck in a turtle game where you get like 10 people doing mine or some stupid BS. And once I reach exalted AV why bother with BGs at all except AV weekend since this system is so fucked up.

The most concerning thing for me however is the lack of communication from the Devs. They simply made a change with no testing and no thought, its been a disaster, and yet nobody will even bother to address that it was a mistake, and correct it.

Some tired phrase about the french and being arrogant may apply here......

This will be my first and last post on these forums. As a person who's exclusively solo queued for bgs I'll share my experience of the last two weeks of pvp for me. Premades, all of them, and nothing to fucking do but sit there and take some no life nerds OEB up my warlock ass; knowing full well there's nothing I can do about it, because 10/15 people working together will always beat a pug no matter what.
In the past two weeks I've yet to get a pug v pug to pop and I'm sick of it. It's not fun. it's not even remotely fun. The last two weeks of pvp for me consisted of being AFK or dead 95% of the time. Being an ex-vanilla player I can easily state that this is indeed not very blizzlike. So I'm leaving this server (big fucking deal right?) but It need not be this way, in all honesty. I only managed to get R8 by getting failed attempts at premades for AB getting essentially a free win, which, is also not any fun. the whole system isn't fun and there's a huge problem with the playerbase. Some are for premades (lazy fucks) and some are against it (people who actually want to play the damn game) I'm not a software developer and I don't know how to fix this situation. However, if something isn't done about this problem I can see Nost ending up like Feenix in years to come. Fuck, even feenix had down better than you guys. Perhaps you should look at their code.

its funny as fuck that this is going on since day 0. or well, maybe the first month or after that were not that bad. but after that honestly its probably the biggest disappointment at 60 bgs. i mean with this population people expecting fun and smooth bgs, then they get this. im not quitting but im definetly done grinding bgs

Solo queued for about 2 hours tonight, and during that time i found myself matched along side not one, not two, but THREE different partially full groups of alliance wintraders farming empty WSG. Here is one of them in action:
Image

I was faced with this ^ or something similar almost every single WSG game that I got to pop. Queue times for WSG were completely erratic as well
Image

So of course this meant if I wanted to actually play instead of sitting in Stormwind I had to take AB, which (of course) resulted mostly in this:

Now, let me be extremely clear that what I'm complaining about here is NOT the fact that I'm being farmed by a high rank premade. I am complaining about 2 specific things:

#1 - I have only 3 teammates. This is because the other Ally puggers are all scattered around empty games from queues dropped by wintraders. With the old/blizzlike system I would have a full team of 15 PuG players, and we would be able to cap at least 1 or 2 bases, if not win the game, they're only a 10 man group after all.

#2 - Even when you get a PuG vs PuG game, its almost always a garbage game. When you solo queued with the old/blizzlike system, you had to be prepared to take some premade spankings, but you could also know that the possibility of a fun/fair game was always a few queues away. With the new system, PuG players are constantly being dumped into the huge amount of empty games being opened by wintraders dropping queues, and so PuG vs PuG games end up looking like this:

How did Nostalrius REALLY think that after they made these queue changes, premaders/rankers would simply play 1 hour games against each other non stop all day to get their ranks? Maybe this was some sneaky way to just try and get people to stop premading, without actually disabling group queue? These queue changes literally gift-wrapped the idea of wintrading, put a bow on it, and delivered it to the doorstep of up and coming PvPers.

Nostalrius, if your staff wants to experiment with ways to make PvP more "interesting" without ruining the Vanilla experience, you could start with removing multiqueue, at least for groups. That's a simple change that would drastically reduce, if not eliminate, the ability to dodge/wintrade, and it has worked well on other private servers. Obviously your experiment of tampering with queue algorithms in response to casuals crying for "prem vs prem queues" on the forums has been a massive disaster.

Something has to be done or people are just going to keep quitting and your server's PvP is going to completely die. The player pool numbers have already sunk embarrassingly low for a server that pulls 8k online, and before these changes were made to queues player pool numbers were actually still growing.

I normally avoid forums but I will bump every one of these stupid threads every single day until you either fix Battlegrounds or ban me from the forums.

PUG complaining about premades, when they get farmied in the BGs, and then they complain about beeing ganked all the time outside of the bg

if u cant stand this, then vanilla is not for you,

Let me get this straight: You don't want to face premades, but you want to steamroll pugs.. Then you tell the pugs to stop playing because "this is clearly not for them".. Then you complain about high queue times when the pug players stop playing PvP? Hypocrite much?

All 60 PvP BG complaint threads should automatically be renamed "making a 20-29 twink what class/faction should I roll". That's the only solution.

The fact there is no news about this from the Devs makes me really worry.

It's can't be kept like this, it's a ridiculous thing and I hope the PvE server will never have such shameful feature.

Ohhgee wrote:This ideological world where premades only fight each other will never work on a Vanilla private server because people premade for honor per hour, not for a win/loss record or a rating. If you want PvP rewards based on skill then you're playing the wrong expansion.

That is not entirely true, my experience on a vanilla server has always been a premade vs a premade and you always had sick battles because of it. Dodging wasnt a thing.
