No one is going to miss the twats that play 12+ hours a day. Not even their mothers.

If you can't stand the changes, perhaps this server isn't for you.

And that's the bad thing in all of this. Perhaps it's not.

However I have checked pretty much every patchnote and bluepost hotfixes and this seems to only have been in talking and was never implemented in vanilla.
Actually, this post right here proves that they first began experimenting with matchmaking on their PTR servers in 2007 (which means early TBC): http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/6478 ... est-realm/

I don't see any notes of this matchmaking going live right after it was on PTR, before the bluepost I linked earlier for after patch 2.4 launch.
The actual bluepost can also be found here: http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/3993 ... des-in-24/

TL;DR version: Battleground Matchmaking was talked about in end of 2006, went on PTR in 2007 and went live with patch 2.4.0 as a non-patchnote change

as far as I know, the only answer I can come up with is that this is a custom server change that Nos admins thought would benefit the health of the server as a whole.
similar to the "banning casinos" and "farming BRD coffer chests" and all that vanilla blizzlike jazz that was supposed to be legit.
could probably add in more custom changes as well if I left any out, so who knows. add this to the list of "custom" change.

Anyone who plays a lot of Battlegrounds has noticed how different the queues have become in the past week or so. It is unfair for Nostalrius to make drastic changes to how BG queues work without informing the player base.

Many players like myself are at the peaks of our grinds right now, and it is not fair for us to be completely left in the dark about what is going on with BG queues.

Obviously the staff can do whatever they want. And for the record, I think separating BGs into pug vs pug and prem vs prem would be GREAT for the server. But its just plain fucked to make changes this drastic without even informing the player base.

I know all the currently high rank players probably feel the same way I do right now :?

That's just incredibly sad if it's how they want things to be. Means they can scratch away anything in which they mention the word "blizzlike".

But since they enjoy adding custom rules and features, then I'd like for them to add 2x or 3x optional leveling rates so that I can level a char faster. Certainly not blizzlike but neither is this unofficial matchmaking crap, but I know many who would enjoy such a custom feature for sure (and prolly some who would whine because "not blizzlike")

I too can no longer achieve rank 12 due to this. I don't have enough roommates living at my house to account share BG grind 24 hours a day and I'm not good enough to script a passable bot, (The new optimal form of BG existance)
