the problem is that the vanilla ranking system is shit and that you were a casualty in the only possible fix to 60 bgs. good bgs and wave after wave of honor farm groups are mutually exclusive.

Ranking is not about pvp, is about farming honor to get some items.

I think both me, and the devs, and everyone who enjoys actually fighting other players will agree, that this is no longer the vision of Nostalrius. With the last change they are basically saying that everyone should have an even chance of achieving rank14, while keeping premade vs premade having nothing to do with ranking.

They put prem v prem on an island, so you can do it only if you want to prove that your team/guild is better than the enemy team/guild you are facing (an actual challenge - WOW!)
While ranks can only be achieved by playing a lot with up to 4 friends and actually having to fight for a win. If you think this will screw over the rankers, well guess what, the system is dynamic. If no one can make more than 300 000 honor, that means that people going for Rank14 will need no more than that.

All these changes did, is massively deflate the honor point requirement to achieve a high rank and somewhat introduced being able to actually beat your opponents a requirement to achieve those ranks.

Now if they reset everyone's rank (ofc not gonna happen and would be absurd), it'd be so much fun to race for ranks in this manner (This is only my opinion and I honestly hope it doesn't happen for the sake of the people who spent months playing Player vs Flag. Despite the ways of spending time, time is a precious resource as we all have only a limited amount of it)

If this game would evolve around having competitive PvP(which it does not) the system would still be biased due to alliance being able to effectively single queue in the same bg, while Horde has to deal with pugs and shit orga.

The only argument you're presenting with your wall of text is that it favors alliance because of ally pvp pop.
Does that matter? No.
Why? You compete only with your own faction while ranking. If the whole faction can't win, you need less honor to rank. It's even for everyone, no one has any advantages over others, creating a fair environment for ranking.
Is it the staff's fault? No.
Why? You can roll whatever faction you want.

If you actually enjoy spending 16 hours/day grinding PREvPUG or PvFlag just for the gear, I won't judge you. But you have to acknowledge the fact that all of the changes that have been made to PvP were targeted at the top rankers who do play a lot and use any possible method (acctrade, dodge, wintrade, etc) to get the highest honor possible. The only conclusion anyone can draw from this is that Nost is not an environment suited for such players. They will continue to value the casual puggers over the people who want to only premade and that will never change. I suggest you find a different server if you're looking for a place where you can play the way you want.

Edit: Since you did adress a bit more. Let me give you more shit:
To cater to the lowest common denominator (Pugs) has brought retail WoW in the sorry state that it is right now.
Sometimes people are whining for a reason, but if you are playing as a PuG against a team that goes out of their way to organize themselves to beat the opposite team- the outcome should be clear.
There is nothing wrong with that, if you want to win you just group up yourself and fight them.

Now dodging would be super obvious in a Blizzlike system and easy to monitor. +You can't blame the system.
Since this is a bannable offense we would get rid of those wintraders/dodgers in no time.

And I say it one more time, if you prioritize fun in bgs take the Ranks out of the game and do rated Battlegrounds and give out gear for that.
You will then be considered a fun server, but tbh where is the difference. The system they are running now can be called nothing else either. It's a joke to anyone expecting to have a blizzlike experience.

I don't care if I lose. I enjoy playing bg's now and then and I like where the server is going. You don't like where it's going and after they release 2 massive changes in a row that completely fuck over your playstyle, I'm pretty sure you should get over it, or go to a different server, as Nost staff clearly supports a fair fight inside the bg and they will prioritize that over anyone who wants to bring a team and destroy everyone.
I'm not saying you're incorrect for playing in premades and I would of course do the same if I decided to start ranking and it does make perfect sense. I'm just saying, that this whining needs to stop as it's getting annoying. Pugs whined, they split premades, premades whined, nothing happened, premades found a way to wintrade, they disabled duo que, pugs whine that they're meeting alliance premades who abuse countdown to join the same bg. what do you think is going to happen next? I predict they'll add more changes to stop the ability to premade even further.
