its the names i heard the most, and thats way too much scattering :p
i just do a break and wait a single strong popular server name come out of all this, just like Nostalrius begins did

i invite everyone horde / alliance, Nightmare on elf street / almost thirty to leave their direction choices in their own guilds note or in forums, so we get a better overall idea of where everyone is going.
will check most guilds note tomorrow before shutdown 23:00 and post it all here.

I wish for an instant 19 or 29 private server (like hamcakeland was). I'm kinda tempted to try the TBC realm, since i've missed TBC so much. But WOTLK..noway i'm touching WOTLK as 29.

Vanilla.re and playTBC server do not exist yet. playTBC plans to launch in few days while Vanilla.re is some dude hoping to revive Nostalrius and its not clear how long his enthusiasm will last and how many people will follow.

Kronos is good one but struggling with 1000+ login queues and its limited to only 5000 or so online. From what I know before Nost RIP twinking on Kronos was pretty dead with only 19 semi-active. Checked forums and anything higher doesnt look good, probably would have to build community from scratch.

I actually downloaded and checked Lordareon. Few thoughts:
-With 10,000+ people online it doesnt lag and doesnt cut vision with fog so bad as Nost did.
-Lots of lowlevels. Saw plenty of Nostalrius talks in global (http://i.imgur.com/CuM8Jju.jpg), so there are people from Nost leveling already.

also searched Primary Target members (alliance 29-39 twink guild), they had 5 ppl online. Have no clue when is prime time there and couldnt ask Trademark since it requires level 10 to whisper.
-Number of people in IF is way less then on Nost which makes sence - high levels stick to Dalaran. But it doesnt feel deserted like on official servers.
-There are tons of lowlevel items on AH with shadowfangs, pendulums of dooms, mantles of thieves etc present. There was actually 2 pages of epic items 1-49 believe it or not. But stats on everything is different and not what we used to. Gotta dig new guides whats bis in wotlk. And ya, prices are higher.
-There are new WoD models for all characters.
-Leveling is claimed to be x1 but it feels like leveling is faster then on Nost. Probably it indeed was faster in WoTLK. Also quest objectives shown on the map is godsend.

Also you can play as shaman and pally for both factions.


So yeah, looks like a decent server for twinking but 29-39 activity there looks like a period when Almost Thiry just started. Needs more ppl. I never played twink in wotlk, /summon Scroater for info if its good.

I myself would stick to 39 bracket for a change.

First time hearing about Lordaeron, sounds like the twink scene is pretty lively already. I think a Wrath or TBC server would be awesome with the addition of 2v2/3v3/5v5 arena matches for twinks. Sounds really fun. Just curious, would they be skirmish matches or can we create arena teams? Thanks for doing some research.

Wrath killed 29s imo. Instant cast mortal strike aimedshot that hits harder than backstab and disengage. I remember we had an agreement that no side would run more than 1 hunter. 49s in WotLK were fun though.

I twinked 49 on the side in WotLK and there are pretty much no heirloom BiS items. I don't remember there being any in 29 either, maybe a few shoulders, but 29 was pretty dead. Hunters become too powerful and couldn't just be jumped on like they can now or in TBC plus they got a much higher crit to agi ratio and stronger CC pets. No other class mattered unless both factions agreed to restrict hunters to 1 per side per game. I didn't do 39 cause I sold my PoDs instead of using them, people were paying 20k+ at the time lolol. 49s were pretty close to how geared 60 PvP is in vanilla as far as TTK goes, was fun.

Right. wotlk isn't a favorite of mine so I'm either going with vanilla or tbc. People have been talking about playTBC but that server has a instant lvl 60 option so you can forget about twinking there.

For the moment I'm going to try my luck on kronos. currently only the 19's is semi-active but who knows with the new influx of player and all, things might change.

In wotlk there are already heirlooms anyway. I didnt like 29s at all in WOTLK. Also if u like disengage, go play WoD. I must admit i had a lot of fun on my f2p hunter during cata/mop with Disengage and Focus instead of mana. The meaning of opness.
