Exactly. I used to have a shadowpriest twink at 60 back in wotlk and they were free scoreboard food. With and after Wrath of the lich king twinking pretty much died.

Twinking imo never died. Even now its alive on official servers. Some people might didnt like changes and quit, but it was always like that every expansion and not only for twinks.

Hunter is so much better in wrath holy crap. There is no crazy 5 yards deadzone, you can actually shoot getting just abit of range and combine it with melee strikes inbetween range autos. And spider net. Gawd I would shit on melees so bad with just 2 these things D Also viper aspect that let u refill mana in few seconds without drinking. On Nost my hunter was oom 24/7

Admins there need to change BGs so that they gave exp without putting exp locked chars into separate bgs. People will join games much more often and twinking will thrive

So any good TBC (or vanilla) servers on mind? Seems like wotlk wouldnt fit this bracet too well + heirlooms. Arenas could be fun to do though.

Sadly its hard to believe its ever going to be as good as it was here. Twink community here really was as good as in retail vanilla/tbc days, if not better.

Tight/Long here. I started in the bracket months ago on Tight when I was lvling it as a main/alt, joined a game at 29 when I didn't even have Triprunners yet for the 3 mark turn-in XP and to check out the competition, and the rest is history (completely now, unfortunately). Semi-twinked it to be decent but my goal had always been to make twinks here; I had 19s and 29s on retail vanilla when I was in HS 9 years ago, and had a lot of 19s on Emerald Dream, another vanilla server that died after Nost came out. So a friend with a 60 mage here and I helped eachother make a couple gnome rogues about a month ago, Long and Swole, and I gave Tight to RL friend. Ironically, was only able to play for a very short time on Long.

I've only ever played vanilla so that's what I'm sticking to. I reserved a lot of names on Kronos when it launched like I did here on Nost, and looks like that's the best vanilla server now. There's been a huge influx of new players from Nost already and the Sunday queue is lining up; but the server is capped to about 1/3 to 1/2 of Nost's pop at the moment, I believe. There are two 19 games going as I write this so I'll probably start there. I actually had all the gear for a couple 19s on Nost too and never got to finish them. I'm NA (EST) so urging anyone in my timezone, especially. Some decent 19 and 29 communities should arise there, hope to catch some of you on the flip side.

Of course if Nost is miraculously resurrected on a playable server by a guy that looks like Jesus I'll probably be there.

Btw who said twinks died after WOTLK? They only died DURING WOTLK. In MoP (and cata too) twink community was the greatest ever. This is my retail twink, i played up to WoD.

Is this just because hunters were too strong like stimz says or why? I honestly dont see a reason why wotlk would kill twinking. Hunters were always top tier twinks on lower brackets, in any expansions. Their range dmg scaling and disengage didnt go anywhere after wotlk

Hunters have been op from vanilla to mop. But they were ridiculously op in CATA. Reason WOTLK killed twinking was the Experience stopper. Since that would put you in a different queue, only to meet other twinks. An average q time as 19 twink during WOTLK (my personal experience) was 2 hours. An average q time as 29 was unavailable. Cata revived twinking because of F2p ( 20 ) gamers. I've been twinking from retail vanilla to WoD.

Ahhh, that makes sence. I hated that change myself when first heard about, didnt realise it was during WoTLK.
On Lordaeron its not the case tho, you can lock exp and play with levelers. I dont know why lower level bgs arent very active there atm.
