Reason WOTLK killed twinking was the Experience stopper. Since that would put you in a different queue, only to meet other twinks. An average q time as 19 twink during WOTLK (my personal experience) was 2 hours. An average q time as 29 was unavailable

Ahhh, that makes sence. I hated that change myself when first heard about, didnt realise it was during WoTLK.
On Lordaeron its not the case tho, you can lock exp and play with levelers. I dont know why lower level bgs arent very active there atm.

I accidentically lvled my old 29 retail rogue to 30 in WOTLK because i was not aware of that change. Where bg provided exp, unless u locked.

If there's enough people interested we could always make some twinks for premade vs premade games. The instant 60s means we could powerlevel and gear up fairly quick to whatever bracket is best. There would of course have to be scheduled times since pug games likely wouldn't happen.

i disagree completelu. id say majority of people in 29s had a 60 but didnt wanna commit the time to keep a 60 competitive be it through poopsock rank grinding or making raid times weekly and grinding mats for said days. i didnt even level a char past 40 here, i was very tempted to just buy one specifically for 29. anyone who played vanilla and knows what it ultimately is would never even try to play at 60 without being able to commit 60+ hours a week to it

@insanitty twinking did die. watch any twink stream, the gap between top tier builds and mid tier builds is bigger than it ever was. i watched a game with 8 moonkins, it was like a fkn moonfire lightshow. wotlk is honesttly when 29 died. hunters were always strong but they were never the end all in vanilla and tbc. the worst class/build in vanilla 29 is probably shadow and you could still use it to cheese alliance by r1 vuln covering fears.

huh, i played most of wotlk and dont remember the exp npc. i think it was added waaaaaaaaaaay later into that expansion. 49s on rivendare were booming from the end of tbc to whenever i quit.
