Nostalrius finally taking action against Wintraders

I have been permabanned for win-trading and yet I was not a win-trader. Was only R6, have done nothing but solo-queue my whole time here, probably have less than 10 friends on the entire server. I think they saw my honor for this week (~220k), saw my name (which looks Chinese), and automatically assumed I was win-trading without investigating further. I have pleaded my case to the GM in charge of bans here (like seriously paragraphs of sniveling and begging), and they told me my case was being forwarded to senior staff, but who knows. Can't believe this shit. Big thanks to players like OP who got this witch-hunt started -- wouldn't be here without you, bruh.

tl;dr I just wasted three months of free time here because these bans are being carried out haphazardly and innocent players are being fucked over. Ridiculous. More Feenix-like than Blizz-like.

you probably solo queued into their games. surely they didn't just ban chinese names. i don't think 220k honor is very much, so i doubt it was that.

Lol, if anything I was losing even more games once the Chinese players would log in because half their players would go AFK at stables or BS as soon as we lost a base. But now that you mention it, I am west coast US, and because of work and school I usually play later in the day (my time), and there are quite a few Chinese players on in the late evenings, especially in terms of proportion with the Euros logging out.

Still, the overwhelming majority of my games this week were close 3:2 wins or 2:3 losses. The only times I was on the receiving end of a 5 cap was against full premades (I saw one Euro, one American, one Chinese), and the few 5 caps I got were in pug vs pug games. Lost a couple 1:4 but there didn't appear to be anything shady going on.

Really can't come up with another logical explanation besides this, which I said to the GM: I think they saw my name (Mjl, looks Chinese), my honor (>200k with quite a few days left in the week), and my rank (R6), and they just made the assumption that I was Chinese and win-trading. >200k at Rank 6 with days left on the week is not an insane amount but probably fairly above average.

IDK. Just hope I really am getting a fair review and not being disregarded now

I don't want to be that guy~, but if u didn't take part in this u shoulnd't be worried, you were rank 6 so it's not so bad. If you are innocent you should have nothing to worry about, also, why are some players have special treatment even though they were part of the wintrade and main advocates and particioners of it? aka psychotic 3 week ban and Hazyhps no consequence 4 week wintrade lmao?

I'm on the same time zone as shangahi and when i pvp i solo queue, i haven't pvped much lately. I hope that they tracked this carefully cause i would hate to get myself banned just cause i got into the wintrading group a few times.
To me it seems like they do check things out properly, but they take their time So i think you will probably get unbanned if innocent.

I know on Feenix, when I had +120 chinese accounts banned, they stripped the honor off of every individual at a significant amount. I know very well to what extent the chinas will abuse to sell characterboosts.
