Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey there guys! I'm looking for a vanilla wow server to play on and have heard great things about Nostalrius. My only concern though is my higher than usual MS (120+) and how it will effect me PVP wise. I heard the servers are located near like France so that would make since why I have higher MS but is that really a big disadvantage for PVPing? I was hoping maybe some US players who do lots of PVPing at level 60 could shed the light on how big of an impact the higher MS truly is. I'm thinking its a pretty big disadvantage especially for melee classes but I'm really not to sure.
