One way or the other you are going to get into it, as it's a PvP server and one with a huge population too. So leveling areas will be packed with both factions. As for Warriors... Well, Prot offers more defense ofc, but you won't be able to kill anything or anyone on your own. I'd say befriend a Priest and/or a Mage and you'll be able to take over the world (almost). :)

1. Just hit things. You will lose. Think about why you lost and how to counter it in the future. Or ask experienced players for specific scenarios you encounter.
Example: As a warrior you need to stay on top of your target to do anything. Solution: Always follow charge with a hamstring to slow your opponent down.

2. Go Arms. No really, just go Arms for pvp. (Fury is for the advanced as is prot, you can try these later once you understand the basics).

3. Getting gear requires you to reach a certain rank. Rank is gained by amassing honor and the highest ranks take quite some time to reach (for example first rank 14 players reached theirs just this week).

Welcome to the glorious world of pvp!

If you are casual or don't want to put excessives efforts to have good results, don't roll Warrior for solo PVP.
The class is really frustrating in the beginning 'caus playing normally (without preparation or intent to PVP), literally every other classes (except bad rogues) are and will crush you to death without any effort on the same gear and level than you. I garantuee it.
But if you succeed the following points accordingly, you may become a terrible DEATHMACHINE once level 60 and feeding yourself on the tears of your ennemies.

As a Warrior willing to PVP, you must :

> Have Engineering as a main profession. This is really a MUST-HAVE if you want to last more than 30s again any other class in outdoor PVP. There are really useful items wich are necessary to stay close to your ennemies (Gnome net, grenades, Goblin Rocket Helmet...). Otherwise anybody will just fear/root/slow/sheep/control you until you die, often before you could have hit them twice or three times. (I first leveled Alchemy to 300 then found myself so weak I spend 150g to powerlevel Engineering in 2 evenings, trust me).

> Go Arms with a really slow and good 2H weapon. In fact, as a Warrior you NEED to outgear your opponent. Don't consider winning a fight solo if you have more than 3 greens. Then, (on Berseker mode) manage to have around 30% ccrit and 5% hit from your complete stuff.

> Playing as a group is really beneficial for the Warrior until he find good gear. With a heal by your side you should be able to 2vs4 or 5 lategame if you can focus on weak classes and protect your friend.

> Learn from your deaths and know what to do for each encounter before fighting it. While some classes like Paladins or Mages can litterally powns most of fights smashing their heads into their keyboard being close to naked (hello roguecraft), you'll need SKILL in EVERY fight. But that's what in the end make the class so fun and rewarding (I really don't see the point of invinciblebubbling yourself then 5s stun then just 3shoots or less somebody (paladin), killing another player stunned for the whole fight (rogue), or spamming frosbolt between teleportations in your helpless fighter ennemy (Mage)... seriously, how can you feel satisfacted from such childish gameplay wich just give 0 chance to the other REKT REKT SO SKILLED *coughs*).

I would have another cool tips for you but I'm in exams and I must actually study ( YOU MADE ME FAIL  ), if you play Horde, I would be happy to give you more in-game, otherwise just slack a bit on "Warrior" section.

Have fun ! :)

U mad? No but seriously, those classes play like that and it's intended.
Mage can't keep away from an enemy -> dead mage.
Rogue can't stunlock or start fight from stealth -> most likely a dead rogue.
Just because warrior is a head-on class doesn't mean others should be.

Warriors screaming "fight me brah", nothing new. /giggle.

For a PVP Arms warrior, would you recommend Undead as the obvious WotF/Cannibalize, or Orc for the extra skill with axes and stun resistance (maybe paired with Prot's stun resistance talent)?

>>> I'm ok those classes play just the way they were designed to be played, no problem with that. But the cringe happens when you realise how really imbalanced the game is for "normal" Warriors in PVP (by normal, hear : "who just level and play randomly in no intent to specialize in PVP").

The fact is, to have a decent survavibility in PVP, a Warrior has to :

> Find the best current gear (need time and money)
> Be skilled and know every situation (need experience)
> Have pots or be babysitted by his petheal (need another player/money)
> Be an Engineer (need time and money)
> Be in Arms (impossibility to raid at serious high level and cost money)

If you don't suceed that, then you're a dead Warrior in really most situations.
What must others "normal" classes do in intent to kill a "normal" Warrior, on same gear ?

Just ...
Mage > Frotbolt, Frostbolt, Frostbolt, root/teleportation, repeat = Lel
Rogue > Stun stun stun combo = Lel
Paladin > bubble full heal stun 5s reckoning bomb = Lel
Hunter > Slow slow trap slow = Lel
Priest > bubble fear dots dots = Lel
Warlock > Dots Dots unbreakable fear dots = Lel
(...)
All > Tissues to f*p

And you, what do you have ?
> 2 charges ; in fact only 1 charge if your opponent is not stup*d enough to not hit you before engage
> Tissues to cry

(TLdR : Yes, I'm mad  )

>>> I personally play as a Tauren, wich yes, would seem like not the perfect choice to PVP, but extra-life is not negligible and the stun (well placed) seems just awesome to me
I would say Cannibalize is of course pretty pretty cool for a Warrior but I just don't like the WotF because your "Enrage" ability does practically the same thing (break fear on you, plus make you immune for several seconds).
Orc seems imo the most interesting decision, but Undeads are really cool too. But, in final, do as me and just choose the race you find beautiful and enjoy the most :)
