Faction balance in PVP

Faction balance in PVP

So I'm coming from another private server (which will remain nameless...) where the Battlegrounds were very heavily skewed in favor of the Alliance. Now, don't get me wrong. I play both Alliance and Horde and I don't particularly care which side I'm on, but as a huge PVP'er, it's kind of un-fun for the BGs to be completely dominated by one side. It takes the value of individual effort and the feeling of earning the win out of it, and for me, that's heartbreaking. What is the faction balance like on Nostralius? Should I even bother installing?

The faction balance seems classic:
-Horde has a strong pvp mentality -> they pvp because they want to pvp -> more players, bigger queues
-Alliance has a strong pve mentality -> they pvp because they want the gear to do more pve -> once rank is up, they stop bothering with BG's = fast queues (nearly instant at lvl 60).

Obviously exceptions and common norms exist, like pugs being horrible regardless of the side you're on.
If you want to balance this out we could use more pvp-oriented players on Alliance side.

PvP at the moment is pretty terrible.
Go horde if you want to occasionally win.
Go alliance if you want to stand at the graveyard waiting for your mark while watching movies on your second monitor.
