So according to Wowwiki weapon skills do not effect PvP. Your Weapon skill and Weapon Defense are a static ammount. Level*5. I'm just wondering if this server's current patch is the same.

Or does weapon skill actually matter on here?

I also tried to do some research on this, however after all these years there seems to be no clear answer to that.
The most often answer I heard was: it doesn't have any effect in BGs but in Open world PvP.

But recently I tried hitting with a Pole Arm with a skill of 30 in Warsong, could be my imagination, but I really missed alot, maybe 20-30% of all hits.

Weapon skill increases chance to crit by 0.04% per point so yeah

Weapon Skill is automatically setted at 300 in pvp.
In pvp, you will do full damage and have a normal missrate ratio wielding a weapon with which you have 300 weapon skill points or wielding a weapon with which you have 1 weapon skill point.
The only effect of Weapon Skill at all time is your crit chance: you add 0.04% to your crit hit probability per weapon skill point.


In this context, what does mean "in pvp"?
In pvp means in Battlegrounds (then in arenas with BC) but doesnt mean in World PVP.
