Mage or sPriest for PVP?

Hi, so I've got my rogue for melee-style pvp and I'd like to roll with a caster for a change.

Which class would you say is better for pvp: frost mage or shadow priest? (both undead, the gear I'll be able to farm is going to be the blue pvp set so nothing fancy)

I'm particularly interested in duels, so which of these fares betters 1v1? With all cds possible, is a frost mage usually going to beat a spriest in a duel, or the other way around?

What about dueling other classes such as hunters or warlocks? What are the counters to frost mage and spriest?:)

Thanks in advance for your answers and once again, it is purely 1v1 dominance I'm interested in, let's disregard for a moment the world pvp toolkit etc. Cheers!

I plan to 1v1 during duels and in world pvp. Idk about you, but majority on my fights in world pvp are 1v1, no mobs, no other players involved. My question remains open.

They are both great choices. A duel could go either way based upon player skill / items / engineering.

elemental mage with ignite and iceblock/cold snap is one OP thing, recks SPs all day.

talking from experience as SP >.<

Priest will win most 1v1 fight, mage can win a lot as well, but you'll need an higher skill level. Mage have insane control while priest are very hard to kill.

what do you mean by dead ?

Literally takes tens of minutes to find other players of similar gear, lvl 60 and solo. Everyone is just queuing at battlemasters or groupcamping lvl 50's.
