Goochie Illegal Griefing

GMs seem slammed right now, so here is screenshot of Goochie exploiting guard blind spots at neutral hubs (which occurred for 30 minutes to an hour this evening). This is unfair to those PvP-ing fairly and, from my understanding, against the ToU. Please take appropriate action.
Thanks,
LC

AHAHAHAHAHAH "exploiting guard blind spots" and "unfair to those PvP-ing fairly".
Oh man, almost 12 years after the launch of classic WoW, the roflbads are still crying about non-issues.
"exploiting guard blind spots" / "unfair to those PvP-ing fairly"

Grats Goochie on your thread.

Just letting you guys know that the revised Terms of Use (and the fact the guards now have knockback guns) does clarify this as safespotting... which is now against the rules as of a few weeks ago.
So yeah...

Attacking other players while standing on a spot where the guards cannot reach you is no longer allowed, casting through roofs is considered bug abuse.
Pretty sure blindspotting is a grey area of safe-spotting.

"Where the guards cannot reach you."
Operative words. Standing outside the natural "aggro" range of a guard is not an exploit. Goochie is clearly not standing on a wall, rooftop, or otherwise "glitching" terrain to avoid guards from striking him.
Pardon me while I go "exploit" some Alliance by standing on the cliffside above Refuge Point. laff laff laff

The guards turn hostile when you attack someone at the flight path. Let me go ahead and increase the font size so you can read what I said.
Pretty sure blindspotting is a grey area of safe-spotting.

Safespotting = abusing a bug or lack of proper scripting
Blindspotting = using skill and awareness to avoid guards from aggroing.
There is no problem here.

reminder children bitched hard enough nost had to change guards to have a knockback aura so people stopped crying
the server went to shit ages ago, listening to the shitters was just ONE of the many reasons

I keep seeing instances where Nostalrius has different rules than Blizzard had. What's the point of making a vanilla server if you're going to make up rules that weren't in vanilla...? That's not really vanilla, that's imitation vanilla some with crappy artificial sweetener.

Well I guess we should downgrade our clients to patch 1.4 as well as the server downgrading its core to match 1.4 bugs and 1.4 content.
We should probably find out Blizzard's rule set for patch 1.4 so we know what is and isn't allowed on the server.
Spells and items need their artwork along with their bugs from 1.4 to be matched with the content here.
Muh immersion hurts.
