Help picking class please for world pvp! (1vX?)

Hi all I'm about to start on this server and wanted help on picking my class. I plan on spending most of my time pvp'ing. Saw pros/cons to each faction and plan on rolling alliance w/ recent 60 friend saying the horde camp wasn't bad where he leveled from 48-60 ish. The classes i'm deciding between are: Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Spriest. I enjoy spending most of my time doing world pvp(any faction preference on this?) and fighting 1vX. I would like to grind honor/ranks for gear but dk about reaching r10+. I heard hunters and rogues are very weapon dependent and want to know if i'll be at severe disadvantage without higher rank weps especially since im starting late. I also heard spriest>fmage in pvp but wanted to know if fmage is better at 1vX because of cc.
Would really appreciate other pro's/cons to those classes and opinions. Want to be sure of my choice! TY<3

Frost Mage is probably the best 1vX class/spec there is.

If you world pvp , its never gonna be 1vs1 .... there is so many people in this world 1vs 1 will not happen

If you only do 1v1 world pvp then I would say shadow priest or soul link warlock.
Pretty much 100% chance of a win when you are prepared.
