Gnome or Dwarf Warrior for PvP

As someone who mains a mage I've noticed that Warriors get absolutely obliterated by classes that can kite, so in my mind I'm leaning more towards Gnome for escape artist.
However, as a Dwarf with Stone Form I can see it having much more utility than escaping from one bind, and they can also substitute Escape Artist with a Free Action Potion (30 immunity to slows and snares).
What do you guys think? Can any Horde PvPers weigh in on their experiences fighting skilled Gnome and Dwarf warriors?

90% of horde are male undead frost mages. roll a gnome and get some free kills.

As a horde mage I'll just post the basics of how to kill a non-gnome warrior without FaP.
CS him + R1 Frostbolt + No frosbite *neverlucky* -> Intercept + Harmstring -> Blink + Trinket harmstring + R1 Frostbolt + Nova him -> He trinkets nova -> Cone of Cold + Cold Snap + Nova + Proceed to oneshot with shatter.

Gnome warrior break all of those dreams and make the 1v1 to actually take skill.

Also you can also use Escape Artist to remove Crippling Poison to not get deadzoned by rogues. Dwarfs can do that also but they don't have that awesome match-up bonus with mages.

I wouldn't go quite so far, I'd say there are a lot more fucking DPS warriors and rogues then anything else. But yes undead is the most common horde race by far, which kind of sucks (not how I remember it being back in vanilla days.)

Good points! I've never put much time into warriors, but what you said excites me. I'll definitely try it out.

Sorry to everyone, I realize this server is swarmed with Warriors.

Shouldn't have to use a trinket or Cold Snap on a warrior as mage. For one, if you have ice barrier or mana shield up, they will be rage-starved. When they trinket your nova and you CoC them, no need to Cold Snap (waste of a big cooldown), since they are already slowed quite a bit. With CoC and a frostbolt thrown in here and there, they will be forced to use intercept every chance they get, which can be blinked fast enough where they cannot hamstring you. The only time they should get hamstring on you is if they attack by surprise (and you have no shields up) or you have some lag.

This is only true if you intercept outside of the mage's gcd. If you intercept on the mage's gcd you'll get hamstring and a white hit/queued hs.

Best way to guarantee a kill on a warrior as a mage is to start with poly to be honest as it guarantees you the control of the fight and a free nuke. CS > poly is a good idea if you're able. If they get them jump just use your tools for the purpose of getting your poly off, at which point you win if you don't fumble. 5/5 imp frostbolt is nice whatever your spec as it gives you 1 sec frostbolt.
