Druid and priest for pvp

Druid and priest for pvp

by Luciphur » Fri Jul 31, 2015 11:03 am

Hi there,

Let me say I usually dont do that kind of posts, but classic levelling is a bit longer, dont want to play the class I wont enjoy in endgame. I myself played thru whole classic since like 1.7, but as rogue, so can only judge classes from that point of view.

Could you please explain to me how does pvp looks for priest and druid on 60? Hows their capabilities vs. other classes 1v1? Ive usually eaten both as rogue, but I always been a bit overgeared. Will I be able to kill something, or my only joy will be healing myself up and running around like mad? :D

Ty for advices

only bad rogues around here

Druid is strong as fc and spriest nice with gear. Can be annoying if you are trained, I'd recommend druid they are kinda rare too.

Thanks for your answer.
Couple more questions:
Hows druid vs. other classes @ 60? Do he have chances vs hybrids like shaman, spriest? Can he manage warlocks?

Actually lot of things depend on your vision of advantages and disadvantages. Both classes are viable in pvp. I - as a rogue in the past - found shapeshifting mechanics extremely funny and action dependant. According to this priest play looks too boring for me.
I can say few words about the druids. Druids have nice mobility and flexibility - tactics is not so obvious for them. As a druid you have lot of options how you want to win this fight, and many of these options can grant this win for you. As addition to ability of choosing between very aggressive and extremely defensive plays you can swap these playstyles easily. That's related to many classes but not at such great degree as for druids. Also I believe that druid is the hardest class to master with. You have not so many cooldowns but it's very hard to extract maximum effectiveness from this class. For example as a feral all your actions should be based on 2sec energy ticks if you want to recieve 60 energy after shapeshifting instantly. It's crucial condition for win and you always need to track your energy as addition to standart enemy watching. In fight against a shaman you are able to destroy one nearest totem with your melee weapon as soon as you shapeshifted to caster form and another one with your rank1 moonfire at the same time. And there are many other things you can do as a druid - druids have more capabilities than it's considered to be. The main question is how you should set your interface and which strategy you should choose to be capable of playing this class. I still change many things in my ui and every next day I suck because OMG IT WAS A SHITTY BEAR KEY BINDING YESTERDAY and yeah I pressed wrong button but I have no regrets. Druid is very challenging class and it still keeps my interest to this game at very high level. Don't think I would have same feelings if I played any another Vanilla class, especially the priest.
Situation between classes is not stable atm, you should wait for the last patch to know the answer. Engineers just recieved magic reflectors not so long ago and how many items are not in game yet.
