Mage vs Lock duel at high skill level

1. If both the mage and lock are close to skill-capped (as in they are close to as good as is possible) and both have similar level gear, does the mage ever have a chance? Does it get worse for the mage the better gear both get?

2. How do rogue fare against both of these classes during the same circumstances?

3. Which class in vanilla have the highest skill-cap (as in which have the highest ceiling for how good you can be with the class)

Nah I'd say warlock has highest skill cap.

Op you have to remember that at max skill( let's say hypothetically both characters were computer controlled to correctly time every ability, and use the correct ability when necessary) that the games boils down to just mechanics of what counters what .

I don't see how a rogue could beat a warlock that trinkets opening stun and pops fap potion

1. Depends of what spec is warlock. SL warlock is pretty much impossible for mage to beat if both are geared. Affli or destro - managable.

2. Top skilled frost mage has advantage over top skilled rogue. Top skilled rogue cant beat top skilled SL lock, but can beat other specs.
