Korrak quest missing

i remember when i was leveling up i picked up the quest to kill Korrak the bloodrager in av (for the wand of biting cold i play a mage) However, at some point i discovered the quest is not in my quest log ( i havent completed it) and i went to pick it up again yesterday and just got another quest called the return of korrak (seems like a follow up or something). I need assistance since that wand is quite good and need to get it.
