WoW UI appalling for PvP

I am intensely furious and frustrated with the WoW UI in PvP combat.

The basic problem is SHIT DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN YOU CLICK ON IT.

I've just been killed in what should have been an easy win.

I realised afterwards, checking the combat log;

1. the net-o-matic I fired - the very first thing I fired - DID NOT HAPPEN - I assumed he'd resisted - but actually afterwards I could see after the CD was not there, so it hadn't fired, and indeed, there was nothing in the combat log

2. throughout the entire fight, I WAS NOT ATTACKING

Like, FUCKING *WHAT?*

I right clicked on my target. He was selected. HOW CAN IT BE I WAS NOT ATTACKING? I realised this shortly before the end of the fight - the horde guy seemed to have a *lot* of health left. Ha. Turns out there's a fucking reason for it.

In a fight you have to trust the commands you issue occur. You don't have time to double check. I feel like the WoW UI *OFTEN* just *DOES NOT RESPOND*, and of course then you die.

You're never going to get perfect gameplay from a private server, so you just gotta deal with it.

Macro start attack to your abilities. Trinket lag / not firing sucks, but its the price you pay for having 9k players online.

Also don't click on stuff, use keybinds.

It's not about private servers. only about the game itself

So basically, you're venting frustrations at Blizzard that their 10 year old game version has a shitty UI, which has been obviously fixed in their current versions on retail.

Why does this thread exist again?

I was out of Refuge Point heading west then up to Aerie Peak when I came by a 27 horde priest fighting a 31 alliance paladin. I had no idea who started it, so I couldn't do anything. I watched them, the paladin asked me to help and said they had a group but I explained I couldn't know what was right from just one side in a fight - after a bit, a rogue attacks me from stealth. At that point I'm more or less forced to assume the worst - I've been in a fight before where a lower-level seeming bystanding priest ressed a red level horde I'd killed, who then came after me a bit later and killed me. I kill the priest (sorry, priest, if you weren't involved), then kill the rogue (rogues are super easy when you have a free action potion - they're basically dps tanks without armour or stamina).

Point of this little story - battle chicken did not occur when I first clicked it, I noticed during the fight and clicked again and this time it worked - and retaliation didn't work (but I didn't notice during the fight). These UI failures - assuming that's what they are - can easily be the difference between winning and losing.

What a traitor carebear, I'm glad you aren't horde.

The problems that OP explains is not a Blizzard thing, I've played on other Vanilla servers where these problems didn't exist. (but instead had other annoying bugs)
