TL:DR horde should reconsider its strategy and look at the benefits of npcs more often.
turn ins are 200 blood/crystal, 280 coldtooth/70 irondeep supplies (scales with armor upgrade), 25 wolves/ram mount/hides, and 500 armor scraps per upgrade.
yes, it's me again, and i know many of us have met. I have made bad call-outs in the past, and for this ive been hammered, stabbed, frozen, and burnt. Now as i start another AV thread, i just want to ask the horde, especially the ones who want to go on a 40 man O, are you fucking serious? you want to 40 man the alliance base with full fucking knowledge that at least 5+ people are going to always be afk honor farming, at least 20 alliance on O shoving into our base with impunity, and we get stopped at the bridge by 8 alliance easily. This happens every match and results in a slow loss, i dont know why we keep trying.
i can imagine the alliance reading this going, "hurr durr iceblood choke hurr." yes horde defense has iceblood area, but besides that there's no real decent choke. WTF does horde defense have, the barracks exit just before the twin towers, the path to relief hut, fucking FW GY? Once alliance and horde are on route to first GY they both get choked by the same stuff. but besides that once horde reach SP GY which is a choke in itself, horde has to get past bridge (blizzard spam), twin towers, every NPC in the alliance base which is easily supported by not even 10 players.
We gotta look at the facts. respawns are 2 minutes across the board, we have adds on adds to deal with, and our number advantage goes to shit when we aggro everything, let alone we never turn in objectives as much as the alliance. i've seen us at seasoned while alliance are at champion. that's a 1000 armor scrap difference in a 2 hour long game, we never summoned blood god, while alliance had druids up at least twice. Horde cannot rush in and gangbang like the alliance. horde has to play differently but we don't.
Horde in my honest belief and what i've witnessed, need to play defense. A sin yes, but we need around 10 players, i'd love about 15 but let's be honest. Horde has wider spaces and easily avoided mobs unlike most of the alliance region, but we benefit more from npc pushes (if they don't fucking bug out) because they help shove and handle the trash we'd typically aggro. Take SP GY for example, the horde ground assault requires 7 turn ins from irondeep. which is easily taken by 5 men corpse running to the boss room and collecting supplies. and with champion units generates 10 lvl 60+ elites plus the commander. that's 70 (7 people)boxes easily collected in under 10 minutes. meanwhile chuckle-fucks want to get riders which take 20 minutes minimum, and spawn lvl 57+ elites! horde is on the offensive we need to stay aggressive and generate quick hard hitting strikes like ground assaults. mounting up and running in practically never works. even veteran level ground assaults out damage riders.
if horde can set the offensive pace and control bridge long enough, horde can easily build up supplies for whatever assault the raid is working on. but constantly running in is a tried and true failure, which has cost us many games. Horde wants to win fast or lose fast, but playing objectives combined with stealth squads can win, without a long drawn out stalemate.
