Q. What's the threshold for premades?

If you group queue as 2, 3, 5, 8 etc. at what point do you get put in the premade queue?

This is actually very desired horde side, but simply not possible without self destructing the horde's honor. First, while ally has chinese along with horde (and chinese horde and ally both make up a significant portion of the ranking population), the horde chinese are absolutely fucking retarded. Sorry, if you're a warrior who thinks the best thing that you can get is beast stalker mantle then you're probably one of the most stupid people to ever play this game.
Now, for horde to contest ally premades, horde needs to have roughly the same number of premades queuing. However, since the chinese don't even understand their own class mechanics, they're limited to stealthing around and soaking hks and honor from the players who, while maybe not the most skilled ever to play wow, actually do have an idea of what they're doing.
Now, horde could make one really strong premade, which can actually work during wsg weekend if they can just dominate ALL ally premades (dominate as in 3-0 cap in 8-15 min every single game as though the ally premades were pugs) however, since all the majority of ally rankers queue as premade and very few ally queue as pug the horde will never see honor from fighting pugs. So in order for the half competent horde to contest ally premade, they have to self destruct their own honor. This does have the added benefit of not carrying the braindead chinese horde side, but the horde premade does not accumulate honor either.
There's also the problem, that a single horde premade can really only contest ally premades on wsg weekend, since during ab and av weekend, the ally premades will simply just stop queueing for ab and start queuing wsg and the queues for ab will become 30 min + for that horde premade. Simply put, it just is not possible for horde to premade and contest on any other weekend except wsg weekend.
There are a lot of implications this has horde side, but the biggest one is that (while vanilla pvp is a grind and mostly about play time) horde pvp brackets are 100% decided by how much time you can spend and having absolutely nothing to do with ability to win games, because most of the bg wins by horde are carried (in large part, there are some decent puggers out there as much as we hate to admit) by the rankers with characters like luodanlun leaching honor the whole game. (Not that ally don't have to play a ridiculous amount, but that's because they fight among themselves. and they most likely fight among themselves because horde has no viable way to contest their premades without saccing honor gain).
Nostalrius has two options to fix all this. Just make ally side like horde side (completely remove group queue entirely for all bgs) or remove the premade vs premade queue priority.
But I'm hearing that this WSG weekend is going to be a shitshow for premades. I heard that there WAS a premade vs premade game last night that lasted nearly 4 hours.
