Skillcap: what are the hardest classes to master.

So we all know Vanilla is super duper easy, pretty much everyone can create a new toon and smash people with him right away.

But when it comes to truly "mastering" a class (or playing it very well), what are the ones that are the most skill-intensive ?

I could be totally wrong but from what I've seen I would say:

Tiers 1
Rogue
Mage
Druid

Tiers 2
Warrior
Hunter
Priest
Lock
Shaman

Tiers 3
Paladin

Now to be honest I have never ever played a Shaman and they actually may be easier to play that it looks like but I believe really good Shamy players are able to really use the full potential of their totems.

classes I like: hardcore classes for hardcore players such as myself, high skill cap
classes I don't like: shit tier shit for shit eaters

IMO the true thing you must master in Vanilla is your engy grenade throwing skills :P

If you take race/faction into play, alliance warlock is my choice for hardest to master. With two thirds of the horde being undead for the extra trinket against your fear/seduce.

Also, specs would have to be taken into account. As a mage using the classic Arcane/frost build is so stupid easy it should be a crime. Whereas a mage lacking iceblock in it's spec would be extremely hard to master.

Being a competent Balance or Feral Druid is an uphill battle in vanilla. Shapeshifting is much more clunky in classic WoW; that's one of the first things I "remembered" when I started my Druid here. Oy vey.

Mage and Rogue are arguably 2 of the easiest classes to pick up and immediately feel "good" at, but definitely the 2 most difficult to master/high skill cap

Warlock skill cap also very high

I'd put Hunter, Shaman (eleresto spec) and Priest on a tier below Mage/lock/rogue

Warriors I think have a high skill cap in BG/group PvP but individually not so much

other classes pretty mong mode

also engineering significantly raises skill cap for any class, as others said

Rogue is actually the easiest class to master and Druids are way above any other class when it comes to difficulty.

i think playing druid is not easy except for situations in open world where you get your invisibility stunlock 1v1 but it is a lot of fun
