Hi, I want to try PvP healing but I only have ever DPS and I only use addons necessary for PvE DPSing.

What addons/macros will I need for pvp healing as a druid(lvling a druid)?

chronometer- tracks hots/dots on targets as a bar
cooldown timer- like chronometer but tracks cds
luna unit frames- best frames ever, lunas raid frames has a range detector to show who is near you and also can be configured to track certain buffs. for example, i have my frames set to track rejuvenation so i know who i can swiftmend. extremely useful if theres multple druids. also shows debuffs like poisons/curses
trinketmenu- extremely good addon that consolidates your trinkets and binds you use on trinkets
itemrack- same thing as trinketmenu but you can swap any piece of gear such as rocket boots or offhand items
decursive is also good but i dont find much of a use for it since i use luna frames

those are imo best addons to help u get started

I can't seem to find cooldown timer. is that omnicc?

nah its a different one, i cant even find a place to download it now that i looked but there are others that are similar like Cooldown or omnicc

also a few i forgot- bonusscanner works with luna frames which shows accurate incoming heals with bonus healing
Classic Focus lets u have a setfocus/tarfocus bind, but no unit frame
Use By Name lets you use items in your bags as part of your macros. i use it for a macro that is first click throws a grenade but second click stops the cast. this addon is also amazing for space saving when it comes to water and potions. for example, if you have 55 mage water and 45 water, you can still have one button to drink by running
/usebyname Conjured crystal water
/usebyname Morning Glory Dew
so it uses whatever comes first obviously but if its out itll use the next. i do that with potions too for space saving and so i dont have to move crap around.

Download the addon called eyes and keep them open all the time.

I actually had the same issue as OP (looking at healing PvP/dungeons as I never did that in retail), so thanks for this. I am not sure what healing class I will take yes, so if there are class specific healing addons, that would be good to know.

Is there also a separate addon for mouse-over healing using either the unit frames or just player health bars? Is that something you bake into healing macros itself?

dont think theres anything specific unless you raid, like pallypower or w/e its called. luna frames can track totem timers and has a druid bar to see mana in forms and stuff. also has mouse over healing on frames, u can see all the details in his thread in the addons section. i have no idea about on players tho, i dont think you can in vanilla
