How is Feral Druid PvP?

I know their PvE is lack laster in Vanilla, but how is their PvP? Can they be more than just flag carriers?

In TBC & WotLK (my primary experience), I had the burst to fuck with squishies and the DoTs to bleed out the beefier targets. Being unpeelable & having nice sustain/utility made up for the lack of lockdown.

However, I fear that Vanilla Feral is so gimped I'll simply be tickling people and only able to kill people by running them oom.

Does anyone have some experience one way or the other?

Ferals are pretty weak in general, dmg is pretty low but they are really good at flag carrying. Other than that they are pretty lackluster.

Ferals can do some good damage and can actually 1v1 pretty much any class. however, they are not great in premade v premade scenarios in vanilla due to other classes simply being more proficient in every area except flagcarrying.

as far as being unpeelable, Ferals in vanilla struggle with mana issues, you cant constantly powershift without hesitation unless you have rune of metamorphosis from vael.

Problems with 1vs1 as feral is probably that the chance for someone else to come by and interrupt you within the 1 zone and 10 minutes you need to kite-tickle somebody to death is so great, it wouldnt end as 1vs1^^.
But yeah, if you have the given time and space you can take on many classes if you feel like its the fun way to do it like that...

Yeah, it sounds like the Feral I knew and loved does not exist in Vanilla. I wonder which patch/expac it comes alive. Been so long now I can't remember when I was happiest with my old Feral.

PS. My summary of vanilla so far:
My feral druids too weak to have fun.
My rogue feel unplayable b/c there's just way too many of us.
My warrior feels great, but you can't raid as Arms & respecs are so god damn expensive.
At least my shadow priest is strong, when I'm not OOM (which is always), but fuck me if I can get a raid spot.

Its not that terrible dude, ravages hit 1k+ as well as fb for crits, mauls crit 900-1k. I wouldnt call it weak by any means, sure its not ideal straight dps nor best spec in a premade setup for damage, but that is due to what other classes bring to the table in terms of cc.

It can totally work if you want it to, just look up some pvp vids in that thread noxx made or something

In my opinion ferals have one of the highest skill ceilings next to mages in vanilla. If you manage to grab an AQ mace as well you will do really well in PVP. Don't brush off ferals because of a few randoms commenting with no knowledge.

You may also wanna add that you have to try really hard for it to work.

Really fun in world with stealth and travel form. Bad at killing things in BGs though but good at defending points or flag carrying in BGs. It's more difficult to do decently with then pretty much any other class though.
