Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So I recently started to pvp on my 60 war and I'm at r4 ATM. Looking at the guys who are constantly getting standing 1/2, I'm only able to get maybe a third or half of the honor they are getting.

I've been told the only way to make that r14 push is to "nolife" it. Not sure if this is an over exaggerated statement or not. I was hoping someone could clarify that. Or better yet answer this:

Can someone who works a full 40 a week + required to attend raids+worldbosses ever dream of getting r14 gear by themselves?

Yes, he slept quite much normally during week. and catched up with honor weekends doing crazy marathons of Wtrading.
