There is a bug where a lock/hunter pet can still attack a rogue while stealthed if the player tells his pet to attack the rogue or stealthed player before he stealths! this was not blizzlike. if a pet is told to attack u from a distance and u stealth, the pet should retreat back to its owner with out revealing the stealthed player


They also have a bug where they appear as an enemy if its an allies pet.

Hey.

The first situation you describe is not a bug. It worked this way on retail vanilla also.

However, the 2nd issue you posted is indeed a bug.

i played every class but a lock in vanilla and that bug did not occur and i specifically remember playing my rogue and a pet would withdraw once u went into stealth

not sure how it was in retail but i'm a warlock and i think this should be fixed

I've actually got a video proving it does work like that, but wouldn't be irritated if it got removed

it was a bug that blizzard fixed as well, shouldn't nosalrius fix it too?

It was not fixed before TBC was launched, so there's your answer.

it's how it was in vanilla. it was gay there, it's gay here. I distinctly remember the feeling of incompetent rage as i got of a slick stealth but that hunter pet just kept coming.

100% sure this was also the case back in 2005, as I played a rogue in classic WoW also.

i played a rogue during vanilla and can confirm that this is how it worked.

the "seeing allied pets as hostile" thing also occurred on live. it should go away when the player who owns the pet comes into vision.
