am i even allowed to do the simple wsg jumps on e.g. horde tun roof or is this an exploit aswell?

Can you point me to the post where it says walljumps are exploits and you get banned for them please? :3

Well i got a ban for.. lets say exploring the wsg map while i carried the flag..ive been to a few nice places with super easy walljumps (the ones which were possible from classic till early wotlk) so yea...

Where were you exactly? The one that takes you on top of the horde base or something? Usually all jumps/shortcuts are fine but certain ones that take you out of the map are often best avoided cuz its a giant gray area of what is and isnt allowed. Personally i find hiding in those areas in bad taste because they never win games and are usually used to keep a game up forever, stick with shortcuts like tun jumps that actually put you in positions to cap the flag IMO

top of the horde base indeed..
its so easy, more rng than "walljumping skill" so i dont understand the whole drama.. makes fcing more fun

edit: and there is an even easier way to get on top of the alliance base so this isnt a horde only advantage

not sure about here but on feenix each GM who judged the reports section had slightly different things they would ban for as far as this kind of thing would go, so it would be nice to get a word from staff on this.

imo tho, there is a difference between terrain shortcuts and taking the flag out of the map even though the two are related. The latter just promotes turtles/boring matches in my experience and generally get reported a lot and lead to bans /shrug

i got banned back in 2006 or so for doing it so we probably shouldn't allow it here either

Simple jumps such as the one mentioned above is not considered exploiting as far as I'm aware.

What people seem to be glossing over is that you were "carried the flag" which makes that a huge difference.

Remember people. Jumping is an "exploit"
