Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hey guys, I recently found out about this server and I'm very excited to play here. I've decided that I'd like to play a healer. It's been a while since I've played vanilla and would like to make an informed decision on what healing class to play. I have high pvp experience with every healing class, just not on this version of WoW. I am having a hard time deciding between a priest and a paladin. Just hoping someone could list some pros and cons for each as well as information about their survivability, utility, counters, etc.

I played a pvp palheal on another private and I really enjoyed it.

Blessing of freedom and blessing of protection give a certain advantage in team fights. What's more you're in plate so you can take some blow, a real shieldholder. Finaly, blessing of sacrifice makes you unsheepable, unsapable, unblindable, uncharmable ! This skill is really really insane if you know to use it.

I would go pally they are a pain to kill sometimes and provide better support then priests in Bgs.
