Official Server Status on Website

in regards of today's connection issue
i propose to the developer team to create official server status so that we know if the server is running or down
its simple, informative, helpful and blizzlike
so what u waiting for

I can see this being a great idea, I understand they are limited in peeps still taking care of the work load but I'm sure in the future they would love to have something like this. Plus they are seeking more people to join the team and help out which will make things happen faster I think.

A temp solution could be to appoint someone trusted in the forums to have a dedicated locked thread they can edit/add to something "Nos Today" or whatever catchy news title. Then they can listen in to the admins or whoever works all the back end stuff we don't see (also props to all admins,mods,helpers who make the server happen) and re communicate it back to us so we can be in the loop of "heads up everyone were gonna change this or try something else out etc." that would keep them focused on dealing with that stuff while someone else takes the time to chill the forum zerg of "waaaaaaaaaa my account is banned??? i can no log in etc etc"
