Hello


I have a suggestion and I am asking for a nice discussion with pro and cons :). Saying it isnt blizzlike just because Nostalrius implemented it like that would make this whole foum section redundant so lets rather have a solid argumentation.

Suggestion:
-Either fix the gold reward for turn ins in AV (you kill a player, you loot him, you turn in the item for supposedly 20 silver according to the quest text, though it in fact rewards 40 silver!)
or
-Even better, reduce the reward to something between 5-10 silver to make it still worth looting the corpse but stop the gold farmers in BG's.
or
-Completely remove the gold rewards and let it be the rep only.

Benefit?
The AV's would still feature big clash games, there would still be a defence with direct pvp to slow the enemy factions progression. However it would be reasonable and controlled, since only the 5-10 people who actually have fun deffing would do it, all the others who do it for gold would eventually follow the game objectives. The enemy faction and your owns progression will be slowed but not completely blocked, therefore we wont be stuck in 2-10 hr but maybe 1-2 hr AV's. Its a means to an end to reduce the def from 25-40 man to 5-10 man. The gold farmers, frankly, dont belong into BG's.

So remove one major factor of the battleground to allow people to rush.

By your theory of time reduction, the land mines should also be gone too when they were added just to get the fucklong AVs back.

I don't agree.

My suggestion however is making the NPC spawn event repeatable and also fix ground assault, so that there is progress forced eventually

Nono its not about rushing. You are right that would require to remove the landmines too and I dont want that. (Maybe id prefer less, but I like the tougher environment)!

But people enter AV with the only goal to FARM GOLD which is wrong to me. Maybe it will change once its only fixed and rewards 20s instead of 40s, it would already be half the gold per hour...

After my theory, people would go for game objectives such as towers, graveyards, enemy general and so on. Making the game progressive and not stagnating. The pvp def part would still be there but for fun and not gold :). Same game, just one quest reward removed in order to change playstyles.

why would you adjust this,
i made 60g in one AV that took 1.5hour and gotten nice rep.
i love it rlly.
just farm the afk ppl at the gy's and loot them and wait for respawn, meney hk's meney golds. kk

The gold rewards from the quest turn-ins are Blizz-like values. It's not going to change. You have to accept when you join AV that some people are going to have other priorities than you.

So which one of the money rewards is Blizz-like? 20 silver stated on quest page, or 40 silver that player receives? You should make them match.

Because they give MONEY instead of EXP like everyother quest does when you are max level. you get more gold.
