[Serious Discussion] Create Asian PvP server

That would make our latency and lag problems even worse..... If we add another realm to the already overloaded dedicated server, more people will come to play both realms. Lots of asian players that don't know english and have been waiting for a good asian server would flock, and more NA/EU players would join the other one cause "yay our own server, asians are gone". It would be the same and then more people playing on the same server, nothing would change.

Also, they would need a whole set of asian staff. They don't pay their staff, where are they going to find a whole volunteer team?

No, they shouldn't train a whole set of Asian staff because the server is an English server. It's clear that the Chinese aren't going along with that so it's their fault if they have issues and cannot communicate. After all, they were the ones that chose to come play on an English server and not a Chinese one.

+1 for autor. Chinese must stitch them realm for low populate PvE or need to do Asian PvP server. Need copy them characters to new server ream and remove them characters of europe PvP server( WITHOUT get back to europe pvp). Bcz we get TOO HIGH server delay after chinese guys wake up and stat play on PvP server.

and need ban all who plays non english client, who cant type english symbols and who cant see english symbols in chat.

While leveling i everytime meet chinese guys who have zero egnlish skill. That can write only "i too bad english" and that's al. Thay r online ~16+h per day and farming all what they see. Thay r not playing, thy r ONLY farming all as bots in retail. No communicate, no cooperation no 1 of all!

You're still missing the point, that wouldn't help anything. They are already running on 1-2 dedicated servers or however many they have, and if you just create another realm on those existing servers it would only initially increase performance. When both of those servers start growing (which they will, because yay new server) the problem would come back even worse, with two servers instead of one on a dedicated server.

The way to solve this would be to get a whole new dedicated server, and as we talked about, they would need a lot more money to upkeep and buy another dedicated server.

Speak the language and be a part of the community or go play somewhere else. I hear Kronos has plenty of room.

As for a second server, I'd be happy to put my money where my mouth is. Allow us to donate and I'll pledge $150 on one condition: You only accept the money if you're going to open a new PvP server in the very near future.

A serious question -

Has anyone done any actual research on the dynamics of the Chinese community? Which is to say, we know during EU daytime we have, say, 5-6k Chinese online... how many of these are bots / gold traders / other garbage? How many are ghettoed out actual players? How many are players who do work out as a part of an international community?

All the suggestions for solving the overpopulation issue are nice and good but we can't hope to predict any accurate results of whatever we end up doing if all we do is keep imagining how things are working. Quick example: if 80% of the Chinese are here to make RL money, launching a new server accomplishes nothing. If instead 80% of the Chinese are real players forcibly isolated by the language barrier among other things, they'll absolutely love a China server, and everybody benefits.
You don't know which is the case until you have some numbers to work with.

I'd like to upvote this thread aswell.

I am confident that if the decision comes down to new hardware separate from our current, people who enjoy playing here and do so actively will donate more than enough currency to achieve this, of course i am sure this will be more expensive monthly than what was posted on Reddit AMA.
But as stated several times in previous posts, the chinese needs their own server, Americans, Europeans, Oceanics can communicate with eachother while Asians keep to themselves, it becomes a sorta of a "Clique" in the community.
It's an unfortunate but necessary action to do, considering the dev team and support is busy all the time, this most likely has become a "shitty situation".
