Don't want to increase mob spawns? Fair enough, but give mercy and increase the spawn rate on world quest items that have to be looted from crates and stuff. Doing the Bingles quest is an absolute chore when you have to wait around a location for 5 minutes, waiting for a respawn with 4 other players who are also eager to get this item, and repeating this task three other times.

This problem just encourages dumb downtime during play and cancerous behavior to get these items.

About the mob spawn, what we said was not to lower the timer only for the time of the server release. That is indeed not blizz-like.

However, it does not mean that every mob or object timer is correct.

In one hand, this would not surprise me, since it is not the kind of "bug" that is discovered during a normal test. The bright side is that such a "bug" can be fixed in a very short time.
In the other hand, it is quite difficult to proof there is a bug. Retail vanilla was full of quite frustrating elements like quest items with very long respawn time or with low drop rates on creatures.

It is worth to be investigated. It is the kind of thing that may seem silly to a dev's ears, because it is simple, but it actually affects the gaming experience. Like you, I think that some quest objects have horrible timers, and I wonder if it is the actual timer of vanilla wow or a bug inherited from Mangos.

Also worth mentioning is that sometimes when you loot these object items, nothing will appear in the item tab. An obvious glitch I would imagine, and another reason to tweak the spawn rate.

Yeah definitely. Quest items taking 5minutes or so to respawn to only be lootable by one person per spawn is kind of sad. I've been sat waiting for one part of the Relics of the Wakening to spawn for like 15 minutes now.
