Party XP bonus is missing

Hey,

Back in the day, one of the good things about leveling with a group (3 players minimum) and doing instances was the additional bonus XP that all of you got for doing so. For some reason this hasn't been introduced to any private server I have played on, including this one. I think it's a pretty important part of the vanilla experience for us who enjoy getting through the grind with a friend or three.

Rate for group experience:

1/2 person group = 1.0, 3 pg = 1.166, 4 pg = 1.3, 5 pg = 1.4

1 person = 100xp
2 people = 50xp each
3 people = ~39xp each
4 people = ~33xp each
5 people = ~28xp each

I agree with your wholeheartedly. This would make the leveling experience much more enjoyable and would encourage more players to join groups. This I believe would help foster a more cooperative and tight-knit community.

It was definitely in Vanilla. I was mostly leveling with groups of 3+ back then too.

This would indeed be welcome addition to otherwise great server! Specially since there are people everywhere and grouping up is nice and easy.

This is something we really need to get added to the server, being in a party right now feels really useless and kinda breaks the fun of playing together.

@ Ozon: I don't agree that being in a party is useless at the moment. It provides value concerning PvP safety and resource gain (i.e. more chance to hit rare spawns with a whole group than alone).

However, this party XP bonus is essential and it would be very nice to see it being implemented on Nostalrius.

Are you guys sure this isn't already active?

I just checked the code and this is applied:

Xp multiplier = 1 if 1 or 2 members.
Xp multiplier = 1.166 if 3 members.
Xp multiplier = 1.3 if 4 members.
Xp multiplier = 1.4 if 5 members.

Shouldn't you get much more XP for killing elites? If i remember correctly the nonelite gnomes in gnomeregan give you the same xp as all the elites.
