Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So we can't turn a blind eye to all the accusations cropping up: "Cash grab, scam, etc!" from people who have not even played the realm.

However, maybe a good idea would be to post a donation goal with an actual amount needed on the front page to show the progress that's been made? The specific hardware and expenses you are planning to upgrade to? As much as I love this server, it is somewhat strange to open it up for donations without an actual amount or estimate for what's needed in the original post.

"New hardware is needed to suppress the lag and set a new world record. The cost of this hardware cannot be handled by our team alone, therefore a donation system will be available for a limited time (and limited cost) here. This donation will not be mandatory, nor give any reward: No hall of fame, no items in-game, it will only help us support the upkeep cost. A status of the donation will be available on the website."

Where is this status of the donations? I may just be missing it or maybe it hasn't been added yet. How much has been raised and what is the timeframe we are expecting before new hardware can be purchased? These seem like reasonable questions and I'm sure some insight would do more to reassure those afraid to play the server because they think it's some sort of "scam." Thanks!

Support, we as a community need to know what our donations are going towards.

Edit: I also think having a gauge with a goal would psychologically encourage more people to donate because they could see a realistic goal being approached. You could even make it look like the exp bar ingame or something lol

Yes i wish they would, and they probably will.

I strongly believe questions like this are why a Communication position has opened within Nostalrius. I'd like to hope that when they hire a Communication Manager they open some transparency with these types of questions.
