The land mines are not fine. They just randomly respawn in a static location without being laid by the Mine Layer (who respawns when he actually should not be respawning after he is killed). The mines were only there to prevent the initial rush - that was it. The Mine Layer should be placing them on his patrol route which should probably be a lot more dynamic than it is currently. They are not supposed to be respawning on their own and rogues can't even go through the trouble of disarming them all because they respawn in a few minutes on top of the disarmed mines. Additionally, the Explosives Experts are in the wrong locations - they should be inside the first tower/bunker of each side instead of deep inside each faction's keep.
This problem is even more unbalancing due to the fact that the Horde can just cruise through the Alliance field of mines because all of our mines are spaced by 5 to 10 yards. Yet, the Horde mine field has them spaced 2 to 4 yds away and even in some spots there are 2 or 3 mines stacked on top of each other.
Seriously though, the state AV is currently in is atrocious. It's not just the mines. Respawn rates, bugged quests, VISIBLE triggers. I haven't taken the time to look at the bug tracker for AV-related issues, but I'm gonna assume that this was all really obvious and reported a long time ago. It makes me wonder why it was released like this.
It seems as if the bugs reported by the pre-release test teams are not made public. Otherwise we would see a lot more of these already reported bugs in the bug tracker created by guilds who tested AV and Dire Maul.
