A new player who has never played WoW

by Eyox » Fri May 08, 2015 8:57 am

Hi,

I have played a lot of MMOs out there but all F2P mmos. As a new player who has never played wow but understands the general elements of an mmorpg, will it be suitable for me to play on this server?

Also are there any people like me who have started on a wow private server?

It's okay to be new, but don't expect things to be spoonfed to you. Vanilla is "grindy", and most of the knowledge required to get good at the game is not provided to you inside the actual game. We all play here because we find the game fun, and I don't see how it would be impossible for you to find it fun :).

WoW was made for the mass of Gamers. It was made for casual Gamers and it was made for People new to MMOs. Compared to any MMORPG Prior to WoW, Vanilla is very beginner friendly. For example: Games like Everquest, the earlier Generation of MMORPGs, didnt Feature real questing, as the Name might suggest. They didnt Feature any ingame guidance.

So don't let any1 tell you Vanilla is hard, grindy, difficult, Features a newbie hostile Environment or whatever they tell you to make em feel like the really tough ppl who played wow back in 2005. It is not.
So don't be afraid and welcome to Wow.
