Hehe been playing WoW for a few years now, I've met my fair of shitheads. Easier to just /ignore then to waste my time having an argument or feeding trolls

Greetings, and welcome to Nostalrius, Brassman.

Nice read!
Always lovely to view an upright and somewhat inspiring novel(except it's not fictional).

Don't listen to the haters, they think they're real trolls like me but they're just in all sincerity sad people.

WoW past wotlk is only good on trailer, but not ingame >=P

Take care and enjoy your stay.

I have over 200k+ gold on my retail Main + alt 100s just from professions + garrisons + salvage yard crate abuse prior to me quitting in FEB on the 6.1 patch. Making gold legitimately is not hard. Not hard at all. Not to mention the side secrets of making gold + AH playing. Made SUPER FUCKING EASY with the TSM addon. Fuck wish we had that here in vanilla.

I have zero pity for you, OP.

PS: Don't try botting here. Bot farming, or bot DPS. Don't try it.

Yeah, I'm not stupid. Why would you even bot on a private server. It's free, so why take the easy way out.

I think people missed the point about my post. I don't care about the gold, it was that I got the finger from Blizzard, which is fine since I did use a bot. But what really made me mad was that I waited half a year for the ban to lift, and then only to find out that everything I had, which wasn't that much (but it was all I had) has been removed. So I was basically left with a decently geared character with no gold and fucking Tailoring / JC profession which made little dough.

I think people just read the part about me getting banned etc and then skipped the part where I clearly said that I love this server and how much fun I've had, because the game is actually hard, and I enjoy that greatly. But instead I get bashed on how stupid botting is and that everyone else clearly is so much more richer then me on retail which I could care less about since we all play here, right?

I understand what you are trying to say, and I too am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given here. It has been challenging, immersive, entertaining and meaningful, and I have been able to experience aspects of the old game that I never had before.

I felt like a true hunter as I wandered through the Barrens searching for the great beast Echeyakee. I faced many hardships as I conquered my first dungeon and claimed powerful armor. When I stepped into the Thousand Needles, I was awed by the rugged beauty and vastness of the landscape that stretched before me.

These kinds of things all contribute to that legendary feeling of the game, and nothing can replace it. It truly is everything World of Warcraft was always meant to be.

Welcome to vanilla mate, it's fun isn't it? I love having to plan how to kill two gnolls or else you're dead.

Have fun

I think people don't bother reading more than a couple sentences from your OP, that's too bad.

I read it all and it's a nice story that illustrates how a game only (or mostly) has meaning through experience and challenge. Retail, and botting, give you no real enjoyment. Vanilla is the opposite which is why it's way more fun. Glad you joined us (glad you got banned?).

I think.the biggest change besides mob difficulty and the need to build player relationships is you dont fatm an a raid to have it obsolete in 2 months.

There are items in all raids that are used throughout the whole game for the most part, and you dont run a 5 man for "free epic coins" that makes anything but the most recent raid worth running.
